(New York, NY) — The New York City Board of Elections is releasing its latest round of ranked choice voting results from last week’s Democratic mayoral primary. The results, released Tuesday, show Queens Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani with 56-percent of the vote compared to former governor Andrew Cuomo’s 44-percent. That’s a notable change from the initial round that showed Mamdani ahead by seven points. All the other candidates, including City Comptroller Brad Lander and City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, have been eliminated. The board is set to certify the results on July 15th. Mamdani has been the presumed frontrunner since Primary Day, when Cuomo conceded to the Democratic socialist.
