(Venice, Italy) — Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are getting married this week in Venice, Italy. The Amazon billionaire and his fiancée were seen arriving in Italy on Wednesday. Dozens of private jets are expected to land at the local airports as celebrity guests start to arrive, including Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Ivanka Trump. The 45-million-dollar wedding will include three days of parties, ending Saturday night.
Some locals in Venice are angry that Bezos has essentially taken over the famed city, at the height of the tourist season to throw his over the top nuptials. Some of them have been seen on the streets protesting. Locals are comparing the wedding to the 1981 royal wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer
Bezos is one of the world’s richest men, with an estimated worth of 231 million dollars.
