(New York, NY) — Closing arguments are underway in New York City in the sex trafficking trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs.
On Wednesday (June 25th), the prosecution announced it would toss out some counts related to attempted kidnapping, attempted arson and aiding and abetting sex trafficking. Friday, Marc Agnifilo will give the defense’s closing argument, which will be followed by the government’s rebuttal. The case will then go to the jury.
It all started with a civil lawsuit filed by Combs’ former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in 2023 and is wrapping up after almost seven weeks of proceedings.
Combs still faces charges that include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to life in prison. He’s pleaded not guilty but decided against taking the stand in his own defense.
