(Undated) — Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson says the Murdoch family (who own FOX News) urged him to run for president against Donald Trump in the 2024 election. Carlson said “the Murdochs really hate Trump” and were willing to put their support behind the pundit although he declined. Carlson has criticized Trump in recent days on his posture towards the Middle East, but noted he still holds him in high regard. The Murdoch family owns Fox News along with the Wall Street Journal and other international media properties.
Carlson left Fox News on April 24, 2023. At the time the network said that they had “agreed to part ways” with Carlson. He launched a show on X two months later.
