(West Hartford, CT) – A man from Brockton, Massachusetts, was arrested Sunday morning when Connecticut state troopers saw his SUV pulled over on Interstate 84 in West Hartford. The man was reportedly standing with people outside the car. When the trooper went to check out the vehicle, it had left the location. Police say the car drove past another trooper at 122 MPH near Exit 39.

The trooper pulled him over near Exit 37 in Farmington. State police say the troopers saw containers of alcohol in the car.

Cops say the 23-year-old admitted he pulled over to drink a beer. He allegedly failed a sobriety test and was charged with a DUI, reckless driving, drinking while driving and operating a motor vehicle without a license. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is due in court on July 15.
