(New York, NY) — The Kool-Aid man may be turning a new shade of red. The news comes after one major food company said it will be removing FD&C artificial dyes from its products. Kraft Heinz announced it will be phasing out the dyes by the end of 2027. Currently, according to the company, ten-percent of its products here in the country use FD&C colors. The products involved include Kool-Aid, Jell-O, Crystal Light and MiO. Lionel spoke about the upcoming changes on his show.
Food companies have come under pressure to make the changes from Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He has pushed for the food industry to stop using artificial dyes. Kennedy Jr. said “Big food companies are listening.”
RFK Jr. added, “From cereals to spices to fast food, artificial dyes and additives are being removed for America’s food supply. ” He thanked President Trump “for empowering me to put the health of our children and families first. Together, we will Make America Healthy Again.”
