(Bronx, NY) – Plans are moving forward for a casino in the Bronx.
Governor Hochul has approved a measure passed by the state Legislature to allow property next to Bally’s Golf Links in Ferry Point to be remodeled for a casino. That means Bally’s can now apply for a gaming license for the property.
Applications for three casino licenses in the New York City area are due by June 27th. Bally’s chairman Soo Kim says the creation of thousands of jobs with this project is a win-win for the Bronx and the city. It would include a hotel, spa, event center and parking garages.
