(New York, NY) — A new poll finds a majority of Americans are opposed to the U.S. getting involved in the conflict between Israel and Iran. The Washington Post surveyed roughly a thousand U.S. adults this week, and found nearly one-third of them knew little or nothing about Israel launching airstrikes against Iran. It also found only 25 percent support the U.S. military launching airstrikes against Iran over its nuclear program. Forty-five percent oppose U.S. involvement, while 30 percent said they’re not sure.

Meanwhile. members of Congress are calling for a coordinated evacuation plan for Americans in Israel.  New Jersey Congressman Josh Gottheimer and fellow Intelligence committee members are urging President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to share what concrete steps they are taking to get Americans out of Israel. Members of Congress say they understand the security situation in Israel has made for many obstacles, but they’re urging the administration to explore all evacuation routes by land and sea.
