(New York, NY) – New York City is unveiling an initiative to help students learn financial literacy. Mayor Adams’ administration says by year 2030, every student will be learning how to save, spend and manage money.
The administration unveiled the first 15 school districts in the city to get financial educators who will provide students and families with workshops next school year. They will help develop classroom resources to build responsible financial habits.
Adams says by 2030, New York City will be one of the first public school systems to have financial educators in every district.
