(New York, NY) – Back pain is very common — about 80% of Americans experience it — and 16 million have chronic cases. Many things can cause it. But how much of it is mental, or caused by psychological stressors?
Doctors say mental health plays a big role in back pain. Treating depression with therapy or antidepressants can actually help reduce it — per research.
People have reportedly found relief with light exercise, avoiding sitting too long, anti-inflammatory diets and — in more severe cases, surgery, or injections.
