Could You Handle This Five Hour Commute?

syndication-wilmington-star-news-6

(Los Angeles, CA) – An increasing number of people are traveling long distances to work, called “super commuting.” Some travel five-hours one-way each day.

This practice is becoming increasingly common, especially in expensive cities like LA. While the extended travel time can be challenging, many have found this to help balance work, home and money.

Janet Lee is one of those super commuters who is making it work. She recently penned an Op-ed for NBC News in which she explained the process. Because she lives in LA but wants to work in San Francisco’s expanding AI sector, it became a necessity. Lee explains she usually catches a 7 a.m. flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco every Wednesday – then flies home on Friday night. It’s a five-hour commute, door to door.
