(Brewster, NY) – Cops say a man confessed to them after he allegedly set a fire inside a three-story apartment building in the village of Brewster in Putnam County. The fire happened earlier this week and the building was damaged – families lost their homes as well as belongings.
The suspect has since been identified as 43-year-old Brian Cronin. He allegedly told police it was an intentional act and officers arrested him. Cronin was booked on arson charges and is being held in Putnam County Jail. Police say the investigation continues.
