(New York, NY) — NYPD cops cuffed at least 80 demonstrators involved in anti-ICE protests in Lower Manhattan Tuesday night. The protesters arrested were hauled in for fighting with cops and disorderly conduct. Police estimate at least 15-hundred people demonstrated outside 26 Federal Plaza and then moved through the streets to Foley Square. More anti-ICE protests are scheduled today in Lower Manhattan.

Mayor Eric Adams insists the NYPD won’t tolerate protester violence and destruction of property. Another anti-ICE protest is scheduled for five o’clock this afternoon at Foley Square.

A curfew is now in effect in downtown Los Angeles, as police say mass arrests have taken place. The LAPD said late Tuesday they were cuffing groups of unruly protesters that continue to gather. The curfew is in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. in a one-square-mile area downtown. LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell says anyone found within the designated curfew area will be “subject to arrest.” It comes after at least 23 stores in the downtown area reported looting and graffiti is seen all over buildings in the area.
