(East Shoreham, NY) — Suffolk County Police are confirming a body found in a Long Island pool last month is that of a missing fugitive wanted for killing his own father.
Suffolk County Police had believed the body found in an East Shoreham pool back on May 25th could be that of 23-year-old Matthew Zoll. Cops believe he allegedly stabbed his 61-year-old father, Joseph Zoll, to death in their home in Rocky Point last November.
In an ironic twist, the man who owns the pool where the younger Zoll was found is reportedly a member of the Marshals’ Regional Task Force that had been looking for him.
Zoll’s cause of death has yet to be determined.
