(New York, NY) — Funeral services were held Friday, June 6th at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan for New York City’s former police commissioner Bernard Kerik. Mayor Eric Adams and other prominent New York dignitaries attended.
The 69-year-old died last week from an unspecified illness. Kerik was in charge of the NYPD during the 9-11 terror attacks. He was later sentenced to four years in prison for tax fraud and lying to the White House. He served several years in prison before being pardoned by President Trump in 2020.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Hala Matli a son, 2 daughters 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
