(New York, NY) – The Tribeca Film Festival is kicking off on Wednesday, but its biggest star won’t be
there. Billy Joel’s documentary “Billy Joel: And So It Goes” is set to have its debut
opening night, but Joel has bowed out from attending. The legendary Music Man
says his recent diagnosis of Normal pressure hydrocephalus is keeping him from
public appearances.
NPH is a neurological condition that manifests through a build up of fluid on the
brain which affects balance and mobility. Meantime, The Tribeca Film Festival will go
on featuring 95 world premieres from filmmakers across 36 countries.
