(Babylon, NY) – One woman from Long Island is recalling a creepy encounter with an alleged serial killer. It started as a normal ride home on the Long Island railroad when Kaylin Morales came face to face with the man suspected of killing 7 women. Morales tells the New York Post that Rex Heuermann sat right next to her despite an entire car of empty seats. Morales says she moved her feet that were propped up on the seat ahead of her when Heuermann allegedly commented that she didn’t have to “move her pretty legs” for him.
Morales said she began taking videos on Snapchat as he was drinking cans of beers sitting next to her out of fear and precaution. Two weeks later, Heuermann was arrested in connection to the Gilgo Beach killings. Morales says she got in touch with Suffolk County Crimestoppers, sharing the video and her experience with detectives. Heuermann is accused of murdering 7 women and faces a list of charges to which he has pleaded not guilty. Heuermann is set to return to court on June 17th.
