(New York, NY) — Former New York Congressman George Santos, who will be reporting to prison in July, is getting some advice from another convicted politician. Santos was sentenced to over seven years in prison for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
Former Ohio Representative Bob Ney served 17 months in federal prison for his role in a lobbying scandal. He said lessons learned from politics can service you well behind bars. He says as a congressman, you deal with many angry people and its no different in prison. He also said prisons need volunteers, so give back.
