Congestion Pricing Continues

traffic

(New York, NY)  —  Congestion pricing in New York City is staying put for now.  A federal judge on Tuesday issued a temporary restraining order that stops the feds from pulling funding from the MTA if the tolling cameras aren’t turned off.  New York Governor Hochul, along with MTA officials, say congestion pricing is working and ignored a deadline on May 21st to stop the program.

The latest ruling keeps congestion pricing in place until June 9th, as the Transportation Department and state continue to battle it out in court. Some New Yorkers say they see a difference with less traffic, while others say not so much.
