(San Diego, CA) — At least three people are dead after a small plane that took off from Teterboro airport in New Jersey, crashed into a military housing neighborhood.
Music agency Sound Talent Group said three of its employees were killed in the crash, including co-founder Dave Shapiro. The FAA now says six people were onboard the Cessna private jet when it struck around fifteen homes in the Murphy Canyon neighborhood, causing multiple houses and vehicles to catch fire.
San Diego Assistant Fire Chief Dan Eddy said there were no fatalities on the ground. Eddy said no one in the houses hit was transported from the scene, but there may have been some minor injuries. The FAA says the plane was headed to Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport at the time of the crash.
