(New York, NY) — Tom Hanks will star in the world premiere of a new off-Broadway production later this year.
Previews for “This World of Tomorrow,” which the actor co-wrote with playwright James Glossman, will start October 30th at The Shed’s Griffin Theater in Hudson Yards. Tony-awarding winning director Kenny Leon will also be involved in the play, which will run through December 21st.
It’s based on short stories penned by Hanks and tells the story of a time traveling scientist is search of true love who repeatedly returns to the same day at the 1939 World’s Fair in Queens. Hanks and Glossman previously worked together in the play “Safe Home” in 2022.
