(Bethpage, NY) — The Ryder Cup is coming to Long Island this September. It’s taking place at Bethpage State Park on the Bethpage Black course and it’s going to be Team USA vs. Team Europe. Bethpage State Park has been a mecca for public golf because it features five 18-hole regulation golf courses, including the world-renowned Black Course which was the site of the United States Open, the Barclays. the PGA Championship , and now, for the very first time, the Ryder Cup.
More than 200-thousand fans are expected to attend the event which is set to take place September 26th through September 28th. Officials say they need over four-thousand volunteers and there’s already a waiting list of more than 10-thousand people. Meantime, an average admission ticket is 700-dollars, which includes food and non-alcoholic drinks. However, the three-day event is sold-out.
