(Wantagh, NY) — The FourLeaf Air Show is returning to Jones Beach this Memorial Day weekend. It’s one of the biggest events on Long Island that usher’s in the summer season. Chip Gorman, Regional Director of New York State Parks, says he prays every year it doesn’t rain on Memorial Day weekend. This year the air show is taking place on Saturday May 24th and Sunday May 25th from 10am to 3 p.m. However, Gorman urges people to get to the beach early because the parking lots fill up and you want to get a good spot on the beach.
He says the best spot is near the Jones Beach water tower, which pilots use as their point of reference. This year, the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will be headlining, along with many other performers. The air show is also celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States Army. So, grab your beach chair and cooler and plan for a great weekend.
