(New York, NY) — There’s a disturbing new report on the helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River last month, killing a family of five and its pilot. The National Transportation Safety Board said in a preliminary report that there were three loud bangs before the chopper broke into three pieces.
Right after witnesses heard the booms, the helicopter’s fuselage, the main rotor, and the tail boom broke off, plummeting into the Hudson. The chopper crashed just 17 minutes after take-off. There is still no official word on what caused the crash and the investigation continues.
