One thousand bucks to leave the U.S.

(Washington, DC) — The Trump Administration is offering one-thousand-dollars to illegal immigrants if they “self-deport”. The money would be delivered through a government app. The Department of Homeland Security, the funds are a way for those in the country illegally to “facilitate travel back to their home country” and payments will be made after their return has been confirmed through the CBP  app. Those who submit their intent to self-deport will also be deprioritized for detention and removal by ICE ahead of their departure.

Meanwhile, federal officials are working on a new migrant database called ImmigrationOS. The system will track and target millions living illegally in the U.S. A 30-million-dollar contract with Palantir Technologies will help Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents build a system to prioritize people for deportation. The contract with the Denver-based company calls for a prototype rollout this fall. Palantir already runs the ICE system used for Homeland Security investigations.
