(New York, NY) — There’s a push to keep pedicabs away from Broadway theaters.
New York City councilmembers Keith Powers and Erik Bottcher introduced a bill that bans pedicabs from parking, stopping, or standing or picking up or dropping off passengers within 50 feet of a theater.
Bottcher says it comes in response to complaints of pedicabs blasting music and harassing theater goers, disrupting performances. The Times Square Alliance supports the bill.
