(New York, NY) — New York City Mayor Eric Adams is touting his fiscal 2026 budget as “the best budget ever.” The mayor notes that there are no tax increases and no jobs cut.
It’s a 115-billion-dollar plan that focuses on public safety, affordability and quality of life issues. The budget includes funding for CUNY, libraries, sanitation, criminal justice reform, boosting the NYPD police force and an ambitious plan to expand free after-school programs.
Adams is proud of that in the face of what he claims was the City being short-changed by both Washington and Albany.
