Luigi Mangione court appearance
(San Francisco, NY) — Alleged CEO shooter Luigi Mangione is at the center of a new musical opening in San Francisco. The 26-year-old who is accused of shooting and killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Midtown Manhattan late last year, is the subject of the 60 minute musical called “Luigi.” Creators say the show will follow Mangione’s time at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn with real-life cell mates Sam Bankman Fried and P. Diddy by his side.
The show’s creators say anyone who likes comedy and showtunes, will enjoy “Luigi”. It will premiere at the Taylor Street Theater in San Francisco, running June 13–28.
Luigi Mangione has plead not guilty to killing Brian Thompson. The 26-year-old was arraigned in New York City last week on charges of murder with a firearm and other offenses. Before the hearing, federal prosecutors reiterated that they will seek the death penalty. They argue that Mangione is a future danger because he expressed intent to target an entire industry.
