(New York, NY) — Governor Kathy Hochul says she’d consider renaming Penn Station after President Trump. The governor seemed to make the comment in jest, saying she would consider changing the name of Penn Station to Donald Trump Station once the seven-billion-dollar project was complete.
It comes after the federal government took control of the overhaul project, allowing state taxpayers to save more than one-billion-dollars. For years, the station’s capacity has not been able to keep up with the number of commuters coming through every day–and that’s only supposed to grow.
Meantime, one New York City lawmaker is proposing a bill that would ban public buildings from being named after convicted felons.
