(New York, NY) — Opening statements are set to start Wednesday (April 23, 2025) morning in Manhattan after jury selection was completed Tuesday (April 22, 2025) afternoon in the Harvey Weinstein retrial.
Seven women and five men will sit on the jury with six alternates in the wings. Weinstein is being retried on rape and sex assault charges after his 2020 conviction in New York was overturned due to errors in how the witness process was handled. The movie mogul’s retrial involves three alleged victims: a production assistant, an aspiring actress and a new accuser.
