(Washington, DC) — Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has reportedly shared more detailed military plans across a second group chat in the Signal app, this time with members of his family.
Multiple reports say Hegseth shared the military plans, regarding an operation against Houthis in Yemen, with his brother, lawyer, and wife. Hegseth’s brother and lawyer both have jobs at the Department of Defense, although his wife does not.
The report comes following an incident last month where top members of President Trump’s cabinet sent operational plans and classified information about US military strikes on Yemen to a group thread on Signal to which a reporter had accidentally been added. President Trump said this is all a waste of time and added Hegseth is doing a great job.
