(Bronx, NY) – A young girl trapped in her home with two deceased relatives helped alert authorities. According to neighbors, the 4-year-old girl was screaming for days before two other family members came to the apartment for a wellness check. That’s when they came across the bodies of a 38-year-old mother and her 8-year-old son. Authorities have not said how long they were dead before being discovered and they also have not released the cause of deaths pending an investigation by the medical examiner. The 4-year-old girl was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.
