(New York, NY) – A rival candidate on the Democratic side is attacking former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s mental capacity. State Senator and candidate for mayor, Jessica Ramos of Queens, says New York City cannot afford a “Joe Biden moment”. The state legislator was speaking at a New York Post editorial board meeting when she questioned the cognitive health of the former governor, who is now also making a bid to be the next mayor of the Big Apple.
Ramos directly points to his testimony in front of Congress regarding the state’s policy on nursing homes during the Coronavirus pandemic, which forced facilities to take in recovering COVID patients. Cuomo is leading in the latest poll from AARP and if elected, he would be the oldest mayor since Abe Beam in the 1970s.
