Marco Rubio: Scrub social media accounts

(Washington, DC) — The Trump administration will reportedly start screening the social media accounts of all visa applicants who have traveled to the Gaza Strip. A report from Reuters says a directive was issued Thursday by Secretary of State Marco Rubio that calls for all immigrant and non-immigrant visa applicants who have been to Gaza since 2007 to have their social media vetted. The State Department will reportedly be looking for derogatory information tied to national security concerns. The directive includes diplomats and charity workers.

The White House says it remains focused on deporting as many illegal immigrants as possible. This after a judge ruled the Trump administration can’t revoke the legal status of migrants from certain countries who came to the U.S. legally under a Biden-era program. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt went after the Biden administration, saying it abused the system. A U.S. District judge ruled on Monday that the White House can’t take away work permits from thousands of migrants that came to the States from Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba and Haiti.
