(New York, NY) – One of the biggest stars in the WWE currently is sharing his support for President Donald Trump. Reigns has been making a name in the sports entertainment giant since 2012, and sat down for a lengthy profile with Vanity Fair ahead of one of the major pay-per-view events, the Royal Rumble. The connection between the world of wrestling and MAGA has already been established with President Trump belonging to the WWE Hall of Fame for a cameo at 2007’s WrestleMania event, their own equivalent to the Super Bowl. Wrestling star Hulk Hogan frequented the campaign trail and Linda McMahon, ex-wife to former WWE head Vince McMahon, is serving as the Education Secretary.
Reigns, whose real name is Joe Anoa’i, is a registered democrat but a self-proclaimed centrist. When asked about the recent presidential election, he says the choice was obvious, “one person was giving us information. One person was answering questions, so it wasn’t that hard”. He said he supports Trump, going on to say he supports a bright future for the country with “positive and competent leadership”. Reigns did clarify however, he had some issues with certain ways Trump goes about things, claiming he is not a fan of the President targeting political rivals.
