(New York, NY) — A wild turkey is keep cops on their toes. The turkey, nicknamed Astoria, has been roaming the streets of Manhattan. It was first spotted last year in Queens, spending most of its time on Roosevelt Island, where local residents looked after her.
However, Astoria recently flew over the East River into Manhattan. One bird expert says she’s probably looking for a mate because she’s making a distinctive clucking sound. So for now, Astoria will continue doing her very own turkey trot as she makes her way around the Upper East Side and alludes officials.
