(New York, NY) — Her name is Teddi Mellancamp. She’s been on the popular Real Housewives of Beverly Hills TV series and now she’s fighting Stage 4 skin cancer that has spread to her brain and lungs. Doctors say melanoma is the most dangerous type of skin cancer and can spread if not detected early.
Experts say the fairer your skin, the higher the chances of developing this type of cancer. In addition, it’s one of the most common cancers in people under 30 — especially young women. Doctors say prevention is key which means sunscreen.
