
(New York, NY) – Teams are on the scene including the FDNY and NYPD harbor and marine units following a helicopter crash in the Hudson River. It happened around 3:15 Thursday afternoon near Pier 40. Videos on the app Citizen show the pier crowded with the lights of first responders. Witnesses say three people were pulled from the Jersey side of the water. It was not clear where the helicopter was flying to and from, and the number of passengers is also unconfirmed. Footage shows rescue crews in boats around the upside-down helicopter.
