(Monrovia, CA) – The hottest selling item at Trader Joe’s grocery stores is not a food product, and it’s selling out faster than stores can stock them!
The store chain’s mini-tote bags have gone viral this spring in new pastel colors, including blue, green, lavender and pink, just in time for Easter. The bags normally sell for $2.99 IF you can find them. Re-sellers are snatching them up and they can be bought in eBay and other platforms from $18 to thousands!
A pastel lavender bag is listed on eBay for $1,600, while a blue tote is listed for $1,400 and a green is listed for $1,100. Other listings are much cheaper, with some selling a set of four for near $50.
According to the Trader Joe’s website, the totes “are made of the same heavy duty, 65% cotton/35% polyester blend as our larger, classic Canvas Bags.”
