(Washington, NJ) –Teenagers have been making a mess of some Tri-State movie theatres as they watch the new Minecraft Movie. They are inspired by a social media trend that involves causing a huge disturbance when a character utters the words “chicken jockey”.
The owners of a Bergen County New Jersey movie theatre says that some teenagers did serious damage to their theatre this past weekend, pouring lotion on seats, tearing out others and spilling soda and popcorn on the floor. Those same teenagers have been posting videos of their destruction on sites like TikTok.
The owners of a movie theatre in Washington Township, New Jersey say they will now only let teenagers in to see the Minecraft movie if they are accompanied by an adult.
