(New York, NY) — Get ready for a long allergy season in the New York City area. It’s expected to start earlier and last longer this year, which may mean overlapping with fall allergies. Experts also say it could be more intense due to warmer temperatures and an increase in pollen production.
Pollen levels, while still at moderate levels, have started to surge and are expected to get higher as we move into April when things really start to bloom. In addition, there was a lot of rain and wind this past winter which contribute to an intense pollen season.
