Governor Cuomo Meets With NYC Democratic Mayoral Primary Winner Eric Adams in New York, US – 14 Jul 2021
(New York, NY) — Former Governor Andrew Cuomo continues to pick up endorsements in the race for New York City mayor. Over the weekend, Queens Congressman Gregory Meeks announced his support for Cuomo along with the Queens Democratic party. That’s despite Meeks previously calling on Cuomo to resign as governor because of sexual harassment allegations that Cuomo has long denied.
The Working Families Party cannot seem to decide on one candidate to endorse for the June mayoral primary, so they are giving the nod to four Democrats in the race, Brad Lander, Adrienne Adams, Zohran Mamdani and Zellnor Myrie. The four candidates all showed up this weekend at a press conference to accept their endorsements.
Former Governor Cuomo leads in almost every poll over a crowded field of Democrats that include the current Mayor Eric Adams.
