(New York, NY) – A wig maker is facing charges including homicide after hitting a mother and her three children .Miriam Yarimi, 32, previously won a 2 million dollar lawsuit against the NYPD. But now, she is accused of killing a mother and her 6 and 8 year old daughters. The victim’s 4-year-old son was taken to the hospital in critical condition. It all began when Yarimi crashed into a Toyota Camry that was driving for Uber. The crash led to her Audi slamming into the crosswalk, with nine pedestrians.
Police say Yarimi was also driving with a suspended license. Mayor Eric Adams called the accident “concerning”. According to online records, Yarimi has 93 previous traffic violations including 20 tickets for speeding. Now she’s facing a slew of charges, including three counts of second-degree manslaughter, assault and reckless driving.
