(North Bergen, NJ) — Five North Bergen police officers plan to sue their police chief over what they call extraordinary acts of retaliation and harassment. The officers accuse Chief Robert Farley of spiking coffee with Viagra, spreading human waste in department office and exposing himself at work. They also say Farley sent packages containing sex toys and Gay pride flags to their homes. The officers allege it was all part of a plot to deny them promotions and give them bad shifts so they would leave the department.
The officers’ attorney has asked New Jersey Attorney General to take over the Hudson County police department immediately because the officers fear for their safety. A spokesperson for North Bergen Township says they deny the accusations and they have full confidence in Farley. Farley was appointed chief last year.
