Amtrak is desperately trying to track down some riders

(New York, NY) — Amtrak is warning customers about a confirmed case of measles in a passenger traveling from New York City to D.C. The person was on the Amtrak Northeast Regional Train southbound last Wednesday. Amtrak says its reaching out to all passengers on the impacted train to alert them of their possible exposure.

Amtrak says the potential exposure took pace at the following locations and times:

Amtrak Northeast Regional 175 Train Southbound on March 19, 7:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.

Amtrak Concourse, Union Station, 50 Massachusetts Ave. NE, D.C., on March 19, 11 p.m.-1:30 a.m.

MedStar Urgent Care Adams Morgan, 1805 Columbia Road NW, D.C., on March 22, 7 p.m.-11 p.m.

The state of Texas is reporting nearly two-dozen new measles cases that are linked to an outbreak. The total is now up to at least 327 confirmed patients. The epicenter remains a rural county that has the lowest vaccination rate in the state. the Department of State Health Services has determined that three cases that were previously classified as “vaccinated” have now been switched to “not vaccinated.” The agency repeated it calls for everyone to get the shot.
