(New York, NY)  — Outdoor dining sheds are returning to New York City.  Starting today, restaurants can build structures that meet city design rules, or rent city-approved dining structures.  During the pandemic, there were 12-thousand outdoor dining structures, but now only 26-hundred restaurants have applied for permits.
Five years ago, there were no permits or fees, but now, many feel the feels involved are too high.  Also, each year, restaurants have to take down their outdoor structures by November 29th.
