(New York, NY) – Just how much is New York City’s congestion pricing toll raking in? According to documents posted to the MTA’s website, the plan raised about $52 million in February, and $ 100.6 million in the first two months it has operated.
President Trump and Governor Kathy Hochul remain in a standoff over his bid to end the program, which charges drivers entering Manhattan south of 60th street 9-dollars during peak hours.
The average daily number of vehicles entering the zone in February was 481,907, which is about 2% more than in January, according to data from the MTA. February traffic into Manhattan is historically higher than in January.
If congestion pricing tolls are allowed to continue, the expected generated revenue would be $500 million each year, according to the MTA.
