(Cape Canaveral, FL) — After two scrubbed missions, a SpaceX rocket is finally on the way to the International Space Station with four new crewmembers, who will replace NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, along with two Russian cosmonauts.
NASA had originally planned for the Williams and Wilmore to be on the ISS for about a week. However, their Boeing Starliner spacecraft was deemed unsafe for them to return to Earth and they’ve been up there for over nine months.
The crew is scheduled to dock at the ISS around 11:30 PM Saturday, March 15th, and weather permitting, Williams, Wilmore and the two cosmonauts will depart the space station on Wednesday, March 19th.
