(New York, NY) — Columbia University says it will expel some students and suspend others who took part in violent anti-Israel protests on the Ivy League last spring. Others who have graduated could have their diplomas revoked. It’s all the talk on the Ivy League campus today. Jewish students say they have felt threatened by the demonstrations that began after the surprise Hamas October 7th 2023 attacks in Israel.
The Columbia expulsions come just days after the Trump administration announced it was taking back 400-million-dollars in federal funds from the university, over the school’s failure to protect Jewish students on campus.
Homeland Security agents were on the Columbia campus on Thursday night searching through a number of student rooms. No one was arrested. It’s unclear what the agents were looking for.
