(Dublin) — Rosie O’Donnell has moved to Ireland in protest of the Trump administration. The comedian posted a TikTok video  claiming she and her 12-year-old daughter were now living in Ireland and that she was in the process of getting Irish citizenship.

O’Donnell is of Irish heritage, and says “It’s been pretty wonderful” moving back, and that the Irish people have very welcoming. O’Donnell said she misses many things about life in the U.S., but added, “when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back.”

President Trump responded, taking a swipe at O’Donnell.  While visiting with Trump, Ireland’s prime minister was asked: “Ireland is known for very happy, fun loving people. Why in the world would you let Rosie O’Donnell move to Ireland!?”  Trump then asked the prime minister if he knew who O’Donnell was, then quickly interjected, “You’re better off not knowing.”
